Overview
On the 5th and 6th of September Talking Plants will be hosting a 2-day event in Sheffield. The symposium titled ‘Digging into the Detail’, will host a diverse range of speakers and will pose questions to them about substrates, biodiversity, planting design, sustainable propagation and maintenance with the aim of giving attendees detailed information and practical tips that they can take away and apply to their own garden practice.
Confirmed speakers include Peter Korn, Chris Baines, Charlotte Harris, Errol Reuben Fernandez, Jo McKerr, John Little, Benny Hawksbee, Sally Bower, Richard Scott, Owen Hayman, Sarah Wilson amongst others including entomologists, conservationists and soil experts. There will be many opportunities to get your own questions across to the speakers. On the Friday night there will be a Talking Plants party held for all attendees and speakers.
What’s included?
The symposium boasts two full days of talks, lunch and a party on Friday night!
Starting at 9am on Friday the 5th, talks will run until 5pm. Delving into our first two themes of Substrates and Biodiversity. To help soak in all that information, join the other attendees and speakers in The Forum at 7:30pm, for a party until late!
The talks starts again at 9am on Saturday the 6th running until 5pm, covering Plants & planting and Management & maintenance. Throughout the day there will be opportunities for networking and conversations about the talks.
